Nason’s Creations Inc was contracted in 2017 to perform the framing and steel erection of this 11,000 square foot traditional home on Lake Washington.
This challenging project featured elegant design queues, elaborate framing details at the windows and doors for the stucco and trim build up, and a full hand cut roof to provide space at the attic level’s quaint living space. To add to the challenges this home was planned for a significant amount of mechanical and electrical which had to integrate into the homes extremely high level of structural engineering requirements. This provided NCI the opportunity to work very closely with Dave King of SSA, Superintendent Bill Martinez, Bryce Dacus of QE, and the follow on trades to design and build for the multiple layers of requirements.
Be sure to notice the homes inverted roof feature at the center of the main home. This roof was designed by SSA in order to meet the height restriction requirements of the city of Seattle. While the roof was questioned by many, NCI enjoyed the opportunity to build something a little more unorthodox.
